Lalati is as one of the “1,000 places to see before you die” in the New York Times bestselling book by the same name. Page 681. You can tell we’re not proud of this at all. Part of this fame is due to our fantastic location. As the author puts it … “Lalati Resort & Spa affords an enviable vista, extending from a narrow, mountain-edged bay across the shimmering lagoon.”
Frommers agrees, rating us as having “one of the most picturesque views of any Fijian resort.”
Lalati Resort is located on Fiji’s Beqa Island, home of the firewalkers and firehealers. We’re just 30 minutes by boat from Pacific Harbour on the main island of Viti Levu and within sight of Fiji’s Capital City, Suva. When sit on your oversized lanai, you’ll see a sapphire bay, verdant tree filled hills, and the lagoon sprawled out in front of you.
Once you arrive at Nadi International Airport, you will be met by your driver and vehicle, who will take you down the Coral Coast – a 2 ½ hr ride drive – to our dock in Pacific Harbour. From there, your water taxi will shuttle you the brief 30 minute ride across the sea to Lalati Resort.
The resort is eco conscious and environmentally friendly, carefully constructed to blend with the natural environment and to have minimal effect on the beautiful natural surroundings, local habitat, and pristine waters of the bay. Once you get here, you’ll understand – this is the place to lose your watches and set your internal clocks to mirror the ebb and flow of the tides, as you tune into the island rhythms. Be careful, because you may never want to leave.
